Luis Jaime Castillo
Luis Jaime Castillo, PhD in Anthropology by the University of California Los Angeles; MA and BA by the Universidad Catolica del Peru. Full Professor and Chair of the Archaeology Program at PUCP. Specialist in the archaeology of complex societies in the Andean region, particularly in the North Coast and the Moche. Director of the San Jose de Moro Archaeological Program since 1991. Served in the National Commission of Archeology in Peru for 8 years. Has published and edited 8 books and hundreds of articles on subjects related with the Moche and other societies in ancient Peru. Former co-editor of Latin American Antiquity and currently co-Director of the Boletin de Arqueologia de la PUCP. Fellow at Dumbarton Oaks, and visiting professor at Lund, Barcelona, Pablo Olavide, Bordeaux, UNAM and EHESS-Paris.
