Daniel Schavelzon

Founder of the Center for Urban Archaeology of the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), is currently active in historical archaeology within big cities and the preservation of cultural heritage in Latin America, with special interest in Mexico. Is in charge of the City Government Archaeological Project. Author of near 50 books, is active in the direction of several projects in different countries of Latin America. Had awarded with national awards, and several US and European fellowship like Dumbarton Oaks, the S. J. Guggenheim Foundation, the Graham Foundation, Dumbarton Oaks, DAAD or the the National Gallery of Art at Washington. His website is www.danielschavelzon.com.ar
